The Garmin Dezl 780 is built for commercial use and heavy-users, not your day to day users. It’s therefore priced accordingly at over £400.
The price for the model without a dashcam is just £30 less than that with, so we’d suggest going with, but ultimately thats an individual choice. There is also a 5inch choice, but for heavy-users we don’t think this would make much sense.
The device comes with lifetime map updates for free, whilst built by Garmin information is also built in with Foursquare, and there is instant traffic updates. Additionally, as you’d expect for a lorry-focused GPS, the Dezl includes features such as finding weigh-stations and signing for low-bridges (which is based on dimensions you put in for your lorry, pretty neat stuff).
One other great feature is that this GPS will monitor miles travelled and remind you to take a break. You can also connect other Garmin devices, like reversing cameras – again a neat little thing which saves time.
The device is pricey but its worth it we think.(4 / 5)
